Indian Under-23 cricket team defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the final of the ACC Emerging Team Asia Cup -2018 by defeating Nitesh Rana (60 not out) and Himmat Singh (59). India won the toss in the semi-finals played at the Colombo Club Cricket Ground here, bowled first before being bowled out for 172 in 44.4 overs and then achieved the target by losing three wickets in 135 balls.

Harman gave a wonderful victory to Ashish Ali's ball with a six off the ball. Apart from them, Ratturaj Gaikwad (20), Ankush Bains (nine) and Shams Malani (19) were the other notable contributors. Khaddil Shah, Mohammad Musa and Ashiq got one wicket each by the Pakistan Under-23 team.

Earlier, Pakistan's all-rounder batted first against Mayank Markanday for 172 runs in 44.4 overs. For Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan scored the highest 67 and Saad Shakeel scored 62 runs.

For India, Markandeya got four, Ankit Rajput and Captain Jayand Yadav two-two and Past Seth and Shams Malani took one wicket each. Mayank Markandey Man of the Match, who hit four wickets, was selected.
